The bucket-list locations are diverse and vibrant, and they cover all corners of Australia from Cape York to Great Australian Bight. Is your bucket list destination on the list as well?
Top Bucket List Adventures
Tasmania (TAS)
Greg S is currently exploring the Eyre Peninsula and is eagerly looking forward to his next journey: Tasmania. Irishtown C.C, Noel M and Only Leaving Footprints have also put Tasmania on their bucket lists; caravanning and camping enthusiasts highly prize this state due to its beautiful natural landscapes and abundant wildlife, along with picturesque scenes and varied ecosystems that create an experience unlike any other for those in search of outdoor adventure and natural beauty.
South Australia (SA)
South Australia boasts some of the most spectacular destinations in Australia, delighting travellers with its diverse landscapes. Noel M plans on embarking on an incredible journey across the Nullarbor Plain in 2018, hoping to experience this vast and remote expanse for himself. Will J has great admiration for Flinders Ranges’ rugged beauty and dramatic scenery, while Pat K is hopeful the Great Australian Bight will provide even more breathtaking coastal experiences than its Great Ocean Road counterpart. And Heather L is eagerly anticipating Venus Bay’s tranquil beaches and coastal charm when she visits in July 2018.
Northern Territory (NT)
Maryline P is eagerly anticipating her trip to Nhulunbuy, a remote town in East Arnhem Land known for its rich Indigenous culture and breathtaking natural beauty. Wendy J looks forward to exploring the Northern Territory and experiencing its varied landscapes and unique wildlife. Will R is gearing up for an extraordinary journey through Australia’s interior, camping with only his swag to experience its unspoiled wilderness first-hand. Shez G is contemplating a trip to Darwin, the bustling capital of the Top End. Her plans highlight the Northern Territory’s vast offering, from wilderness experiences to bustling city experiences.
Western Australia (WA)
Western Australia is at the top of many travellers’ bucket lists. Andrew L. plans to visit Honeymoon Bay in Kalumburu this September while Bruce E is planning a journey through the Kimberley region with its breathtaking Horizontal Falls and Louise McC aspires to see this beauty as well. Other travellers such as Dianne A, Glynis B, Janet I, Jim M, Sonya D, Stacey F and Tina H have plans to discover different parts of Western Australia while Lisa R has grand adventures planned across Nullarbor Plain to Esperance before continuing through Central region!
South-Western Australia is becoming increasingly popular among travellers. Kim W is looking forward to exploring South WA while Sue-J S gushes about its beaches – she claims they rival Fiji or even surpass Maldives! Rick L particularly loves Margaret River’s Fair Harvest Camping. At the same time, Tania T looks forward to traversing its West Coast while taking in all the expansive views until the horizon appears on her map.
Queensland (QLD)
Queensland continues to enthral visitors with its abundant attractions and breathtaking landscapes, boasting Melanie J’s excitement in exploring K’gari Island this September; Dave S has an ambitious three-month adventure planned, travelling from Brisbane to Broome along Gibb River before exploring outback landscapes on Dinosaur Trail; Alan W can’t wait for Dinosaur Trail with its prehistoric sites and outback landscapes; Jane B’s planning on visiting Cape York between May and June while Maree C, Diane L, and Sara B all plan to attend Birdsville Big Red Bash; an event known for its lively atmosphere and vibrant music!
Victoria (VIC)
Peter DS, currently living in Victoria, is eagerly anticipating his forthcoming journey along the Great Ocean Road. This iconic coastal route is revered for its beautiful scenery and myriad attractions; making it a top choice among travellers wanting to experience Australia’s natural splendour. Peter’s enthusiasm illustrates why so many travellers appreciate this road trip known for its majestic vistas and extraordinary landmarks.
The Great Ocean Road is perhaps best known for the 12 Apostles, an impressive collection of towering limestone stacks rising majestically from the Southern Ocean and formed over millennia by nature’s forces. Paul P, a resident of New South Wales, longs to explore the charming towns of Wooli and Yamba in Clarence Valley just north of Coffs Harbour. Darling River Run attracts travellers looking for scenic beauty; Jugiong offers picturesque countryside with a relaxed atmosphere that draws travellers like Neville C. Michelle C is considering visiting either Kiama or Port Stephens both offering beautiful coastal views as well as vibrant local cultures; Kerrie M has an affinity for Dorrigo’s lush rainforests and tranquil landscapes.
The Lap
Community members across Australia have set out on an epic journey: circumnavigating Australia. Brian B, having completed half a lap last year, plans on finishing all 80,000km this May; Quenton G has ambitious plans of undertaking one full clockwise lap before turning around and repeating it anticlockwise – showing an incredible dedication and passion for exploring every corner of his native land.
